Montgomery Style

Our Montgomery range is a modern take on the classic chesterfield style. Velvet upholstery looks amazing with the pleated detail - it's such a luxurious style. Choose from three or two seater sofas and armchair, with matching footstool, too. Montgomery comes in ten colours. This means you can design your luxe room around a range of blue, teal, mustard or green - or keep things mellow with a neutral tone. Whichever way you go, you'll have a stunning velvet chesterfield with turned wood legs, and good, deep seating area. It's just the spot for some elegant lounging or cosy curling up, we're sure you'll agree.

For a smooth delivery, this sofa has been designed to have some home assembly. Full instructions are supplied.

Materials & Care

Velvet upholstery looks amazing with the pleated detail - it's such a luxurious style. We're choosy when it comes to our upholstery, using only the highest quality fabrics. All our fabrics are rated for heavy domestic use to stand up to the demands of family life. Our fabric chairs have flat weave fabrics which are hard wearing and luxurious to touch

Material construction:

Frame: All our sofa and armchair frames feature solid hardwood. It forms part of a strong frame that's made to last and designed not to creak. Joints are strongly fixed using classic carpentry skills, so you can enjoy the support and comfort of a well-made sofa.

Seat base: Serpentine springs spread the load of the seat, and foam keeps them in place. As we use more springs than most, our sofas have plenty of support at the base. That means no sagging - and more comfort for you.

Seat cushion: These seat cushions are foam-filled. A foam filling gives a comfy, firmer seat and also means the cushion keeps its shape. Loose seat cushions with one kind of filling are reversible, too.

Back support: Foam keeps the back cushioning in place, and helps to shape the sofa. That means you get support and comfort just where you need it.

Back cushion: Foam is flexible and keeps cushions in shape. Wadding adds subtle shaping and comfort, while fibre gives that luxurious feel when you relax back. A winning mix that keeps back cushions looking good and feeling amazing.

Feet: Hardwood with oak finish.

We choose our upholstery materials to look good, feel good, and to last. We make sofas for real homes where real life happens. Sofas for all sizes of home, all kinds of interior, and for all kinds of families.

Keep fabric upholstery looking good with regular vacuuming and dusting. Give real wood legs a polish. We stock a fabric care kit, with specialist products for general cleaning, and for old or resistant marks.

Velvet upholstery

Velvet sofa and chairs should be gently vacuumed and dusted. In the event of stains or accidental spills, we recommend you seek specialist advice for any velvet upholstery.

You might also consider our Furniture Guard insurance to take the worry out of accidental spills and stains for any of our sofas.

Sunlight

Sunlight can cause upholstery to fade. If your sofa is placed in a sunny part of the room, maybe draw the curtains at the sunniest times of day, or have a colourfast throw to shield the sofa from the strongest sunlight.
