Dining rooms are special places. Depending on how you live, they can be a room that also serves as an impromptu office – a sanctuary to do a spot of work from home, or a place for the kids to do homework. They can be the meeting place where the family get together to talk over the day at dinner time. And they’re where special occasions are played out – friends and family gathering to celebrate, or simply to enjoy each other’s company over a lovely meal. In smaller homes, this special spot of the home could be in part of a kitchen diner, or the corner of a larger kitchen. That’s when furniture needs to work harder for its place in a room.
For either set-up, painted dining room furniture is well worth thinking about. It’s a popular look with good reason, and we’ve been building up a selection of varied styles. A painted console table can be a useful piece – an extra surface and drawer, smaller than a painted sideboard. Painted dressers can be used as dividers in a kitchen diner. We have modern styles for newer homes, and traditional looks for the painted farmhouse interior style for a vintage touch.
Read on for a run down on our painted dining room furniture.
Our Hove white painted dining furniture has smoothed corners and a chalk white finish. With its oak tops, it has a real retro modern look, just right for a family home.
Cream dining room furniture features across different ranges, so there are subtle underlying colours. Country Cottage has a yellow cream paint finish and a classic light country feel, with natural oak tops and knobs; Kemble has a putty or lavender undertone. With rustic oak tops, the range has a softened, relaxed contour.
We have several shades of grey. There’s Arlette, a mid grey, off white range in a traditional style. Flared cornices and bracket feet feature in the painted sideboard and dresser, and the dining chair has a unique loop motif. Darker grey St. Ives has darker grey legs to set off the natural oak tops – this theme carries across the range. Slimmer tops enhance the modern feel, together with the smart grey finish. Elegant in style and colour, Brindle is finished in a modern sage grey paint finish. The table has turned legs, and the painted cabinets have natural oak tops and bright nickel handles.
For an ivory painted finish, Shay, with its neat and sunny style, has large and small painted sideboards in the range. Shay’s large painted dresser has plenty of shelves for display, and a great deal of storage in two cupboards and six drawers.
You can see we have plenty of painted dining furniture to offer. Still 100% hardwood, and still made to the same quality as our natural and rustic oak.
