Materials & Care

Our Cortesia fabric range is upholstered in a durable polyester velvet that is fine and luxuriously soft to the touch. We use synthetic fibres like polyester in our upholstery for their versatility and the fact that they can be easily maintained.

Material construction:

Frame: The frame features solid hardwood, meaning our sofa is extra strong and won't creak, so it's even easier for you to relax.

Seat base: The seat is supported by strong and flexible elastic webbing.

Seat cushion: Foam fills the fixed cushions to form a comfortable, resilient seat.

Back support: The back of this sofa is supported by durable elastic webbing.

Back cushion: Soft, plump polyester fibres fill these fixed back cushions.

Feet: The low, wide feet are made of solid beech.

Keep fabric upholstery looking good with regular vacuuming and dusting. Give real wood legs a polish. We stock a fabric care kit, with specialist products for general cleaning, and for old or resistant marks.

Sunlight can cause upholstery to fade. If your sofa is placed in a sunny part of the room, maybe draw the curtains at the sunniest times of day, or have a colourfast throw to shield the sofa from the strongest sunlight.
