Porter Style

The velvet Porter armchair is the perfect piece for a sophisticated home office or for the corner of a chic living room. Piping accents the end of each arm and edges of the seat cushion, while vertical fluted stitching on the back and sides serves as a subtle nod towards art deco style. Solid oak feet give this elegant armchair a grounded feel and provide it with a sturdy base.

For a smooth delivery, this sofa has been designed to have some home assembly. Full instructions are supplied.

Materials & Care

Our Porter sofa range is upholstered in luxurious polyester velvet. This beautiful material has a smooth, soft feel and looks cosy and inviting in any shade. We use polyester in our fabric upholstery for its durability and versatility.

Main material: 100% Polyester

Material construction:

Frame: A well made sofa frame that comes with a lifetime guarantee and is constructed from timber and enhanced with springs and elastic webbing.

Seat base: Serpentine springs provide a sturdy and flexible seat base, while silent wire ensures weight is distributed evenly and sagging is prevented.

Seat cushion: The reversible seat cushion has a foam core wrapped in plump polyester fibres.

Back support: Elastic webbing provides strong and flexible back support.

Back cushion: Soft, fluffy polyester fibres fill the fixed back cushion.

Feet: Natural oak.

Keep fabric upholstery looking good with regular vacuuming and dusting. Give real wood legs a polish. We stock a fabric care kit, with specialist products for general cleaning, and for old or resistant marks.

Sunlight

Sunlight can cause upholstery to fade. If your sofa is placed in a sunny part of the room, maybe draw the curtains at the sunniest times of day, or have a colourfast throw to shield the sofa from the strongest sunlight.
