Materials & Care
Recline and relax in Devon's smooth and cosy leather upholstery. Leather all over, of course, and in a range of colours too. When we say a sofa is upholstered in leather, we mean leather all over, including the sides and back. We use leather with corrected grain, finished to take away any flaws in the surface before its dyed. This means the leather will look the same across a range, and it also guards against scratching.
Main material: 100% Leather
Frame: All our sofa and armchair frames feature solid hardwood. It forms part of a strong frame that’s made to last – and designed not to creak. Joints are strongly fixed using classic carpentry skills, so you can enjoy the support and comfort of a well-made sofa.
Seat base: Serpentine springs and webbing work together to spread the load of the seat cushions. As we use more springs than most, our sofas have plenty of support at the base. That means no sagging – and more comfort for you.
Seat cushion: These seat cushions are foam-filled. A foam filling gives a comfy, firmer seat and also means the cushion keeps its shape. Loose seat cushions with one kind of filling are reversible, too.
Back support: Serpentine springs and webbing work together at the back, spreading the load and keeping back cushions secure. So you get support and comfort just where you need it.
Back cushion: Foam is flexible and keeps cushions in shape, while fibre gives that luxurious feel when you relax back. A winning mix that keeps back cushions looking good and feeling amazing.
Feet: Strong plastic legs.
We choose our upholstery materials to look good, feel good, and to last. We make sofas for real homes. They’re sofas that look good where real life happens. Sofas for all kinds of interior, for all kinds of families.
Our leather sofas are covered in leather all over, including sides and back. Most of our upholstery is corrected grain leather. This is leather that’s been treated to have a uniform surface, but still keeps its natural look.
Keep your leather upholstery looking good with regular dusting and a light polish. We have a leather care kit available with a soft cleaner and leather protection cream.
Sunlight can cause leather upholstery to fade. If your sofa is placed in a sunny part of the room, maybe draw the curtains at the sunniest times of day, or have a colourfast throw to shield the sofa from the strongest sunlight. Heat from radiators can cause leather to crack. Make sure there’s enough air circulating between a radiator and leather furniture.
You might also consider our Furniture Guard insurance to take the worry out of accidental spills and stains.
Protect your sofa and give yourself peace of mind with our 5 year Furniture Guard insurance.

Designed for your comfort
Sofas start with the frame. Ours are made using classic carpentry skills. Hardwood is used to reinforce at key places so there’s no creaking or moving of joints.
Seat base. Serpentine springs spread the load of seat cushions. We use more than most manufacturers, giving a stronger base for support.
Seat cushions. Foam and fibre fillings are used in different ways across our ranges. Choose from styles with firmer comfort or cushions that are luxuriously soft.
Back cushions. Our sofas come in different styles. Tensioned webbing and superloop back springs support classic high back looks and pillow back cushions alike, fibre-filled for sink-in comfort.
Scatter cushions. Most of our sofas come with feather or fibre-filled scatter cushions. Made to match particular sofa ranges, they add that extra bit of comfort.
Value for money

Stunning quality, leather all over, front, back, and sides. You pay a premium for leather, but well worth it. Excellent delivery men to lift into house. Recliner and separate back rest tilt, usb socket incorporated. Solid, very comfortable.

The settee is comfortable but im not happy with oak furnitureland they have taken our money in August during the first lockdown never mentioned for a minute that we might have a problem getting our furniture our delivery date was october then a random email went into my junk folder so only saw it by accident to say there would be a delay in receiving some of our furniture and to choose a date for our delivery the earliest date i was given was February 2021 as you can imagine not impressed. I called customer services who said there was nothing they could do i mentioned that the email had said some of the order wasn't available so i said that suggests some of it was so the girl checked and two items were 1 of our settees and 1 wardrobe still to come 1 settee and 2 wardrobes i was really annoyed that i had to ask what was available but the girl did give me a refund of 250 pounds as a good will gesture. It does not change the fact that the rest of our order will not arrive until February which i feel is a breech of contract . Very disappointed with oak furnitureland.

Product is fine. After we had paid for the settees we were then told we had to build them ourselves. When delivery came they left us with two VERY large and heavy cardboard boxes outside our house. I asked them to take them away but they refused. Product good service very poor.

Very pleased with the sofas so far. Delivery drivers very courteous placed sofa bases where requested, took great care of both property and product during delivery. We were advised at time of purchase that we would have to assemble sofas and dispose of packaging. Although this was fairly straightforward, perhaps Oak Furniture land could consider offering assembly and disposal of packaging as a service in future. Otherwise delighted with my purchase and would recommend OFL to friends and family.
