How to measure for an armchair

Measure the height, width and depth of both the chair and the space where you’d like it to sit. Remember to leave enough room for walkways, side tables and surrounding furniture.

Allow extra space for recliners to extend, and swivel chairs to turn comfortably. It’s also worth measuring doorways, hallways and staircases to make sure your new armchair can be delivered to its intended room.
