Montgomery Style

The Montgomery footstool will make a sophisticated and eye-catching addition to your lounge, thanks to its turned oak feet and durable yet silky smooth velvet upholstery. Featuring a traditional dimpled pattern but a level surface, this footstool is large and sturdy, so can be used as an extra seat and a comfortable footrest. It's also easy to turn this versatile piece into a coffee table by placing a tea tray on top. A matching armchair, 2-seater sofa and 3-seater sofa are also available.

For a smooth delivery, this sofa has been designed to have some home assembly. Full instructions are supplied.

Materials & Care

Our fabric Montgomery sofa range is upholstered entirely in heritage velvet. This beautiful material has a smooth, soft feel and a vintage-style finish with subtle yet characterful variations in colour saturation. We use polyester in our fabric upholstery for its durability and versatility.

Material construction:

Frame: The frame features solid hardwood and comes with a lifetime guarantee. Joints are strongly fixed using classic carpentry skills, so you can relax and enjoy the support and comfort of a well-made piece of furniture.

Footstool base: Serpentine springs distribute weight evenly and prevent sagging. Foam protects these springs and keeps them in place.

Footstool cushion: A foam core is wrapped in soft polyester fibres, resulting in a comfortable yet firm fixed seat cushion.

Feet: Turned solid oak.

Fabric

We choose our upholstery materials to look good, feel good, and to last. We make sofas for real homes where real life happens. Sofas for all sizes of home, all kinds of interior, and for all kinds of families.

Keep fabric upholstery looking good with regular vacuuming and dusting. Give real wood legs a polish. We stock a fabric care kit, with specialist products for general cleaning, and for old or resistant marks.

Velvet upholstery

Velvet sofa and chairs should be gently vacuumed and dusted. In the event of stains or accidental spills, we recommend you seek specialist advice for any velvet upholstery.

You might also consider our Furniture Guard insurance to take the worry out of accidental spills and stains for any of our sofas.

Sunlight

Sunlight can cause upholstery to fade. If your sofa is placed in a sunny part of the room, maybe draw the curtains at the sunniest times of day, or have a colourfast throw to shield the sofa from the strongest sunlight.
