Boston Natural Solid Oak and Metal Double Bed

Fantastic bed. Stylish and very strong. No squeaking either! Only fault is the central spine that holds the mattress could be even stronger as we had to reinforce the headboard and foot end.

The bed is fantastic, solid and a good price however the delivery was terrible! Two young chaps arrived on time. Our new build, brand new carpets were carefully covered by our removals company with polythene stuck down. The Oak Furniture del chaps (both of them) didn't remove muddy boots as all other deliveries had done and then trampled up the stairs somehow missing the polythene covering. Our removals chaps came to tell me this, but it was too late. Huge mud prints on my carpet all the way up. The chaps were told and went out muttering under their breaths, no apology at all. We paid extra to have the flexible move and feel the service given was a huge letdown. Took me rest of morning to clean my new carpet! Very unhappy customer 😕

Beautiful, stylish and solid build. Very impressed with the high quality finish of the woodwork. However the screws provided are sub standard and x3 heads snapped off....advise buying and using your own. Overall...very happy with our purchase.

Very solid heavy bed. Bed slats are wide giving mattress great support. Will last a lifetime.

Ordered bed - headboard scored in several places on top (very visible as the headboard is the only feature of this bed). The website states ‘ This item requires some home assembly’, which actually means the whole bed (Headboard, side rails, slats, support legs underneath and footboard) - to be precise 26 bolts and 29 screws later, which is more than ‘some assembly’. I did try to find on the website what was actually meant by some assembly but could not find any information. Note: If you are a single or elderly person like my father, you’ll definitely need someone to help. Called Customer Services - exceptionally poor answering service. Select the option you want - selected number, pressed the number, it took me back to start of the options, this repeated and after another couple of attempts I pressed any option that might get me through to a person. Customer Service Rep advised she would get it replaced and would allow time for us to examine it before acceptance. This didn’t happen as Delivery drivers advised to go through Customer Services if problem re- occurred and informed that they would not wait. (it took me an hour to do it the first time, so didn’t want to go through the phone cycle again). What I was most annoyed about was the ‘not required’ items that arrived along with the replacement headboard - we were redelivered with 30% of a new bed (new metal legs, footboard, slats, leg supports and bolts/ screws). What a waste of materials/ resources! Legs are also of poor fabrication and not as good as they look on the website. I appreciate parts come part of a packaged box but what a waste! Does OFL have an environmental policy? Based upon the aforementioned OFL can’t get an exceptional rating from me unfortunately. Also I submitted this review several times to OFL but didn’t see it published.
