COVID 19 and Company Update
Since the end of March 2020, at Oak Furnitureland, we’ve continued to keep the safety and well-being of our colleagues and customers our number one priority - and this won’t change.
Below you will find the latest updates on store openings, delivery scheduling and how we are keeping our colleagues and customers safe during these unprecedented times.
Keeping our colleagues and customers safe:
From Monday 19th July, England moved to the fourth and final stage of the government's roadmap for lifting lockdown restrictions, which means it’s no longer a legal requirement to wear a facemask.
We previously implemented changes in store to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable shopping experience and we will continue to keep these safety measures in place. This includes operating a one way system to guide you safely around our store, and Personal Protective Equipment for our colleagues. We will continue to limit the number of customers in store at any one time, so with this in mind we have a designated queuing area outside where you are able to wait, in order to support social distancing safely.
We offer ‘Scan and Go Contact Free Shopping’ allowing customers to enjoy a completely contactless shopping experience when in store.
Our warehouse teams are temperature checked at the start of every shift, and are provided with Personal Protective Equipment. Our delivery guidelines will continue to support a safe and hassle free delivery experience for both our customers and our colleagues.
We know that this has been an incredibly challenging time for everyone, so we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for your support and patience throughout this time.
Following the latest Government Guidelines, our Showrooms in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are now open.
Details on each store are listed on our Showroom pages.
Other ways to shop:
Our website is still open for business, and our online sales team are ready to take your call on 0800 440 2254 7 days a week from 9am - 9pm.
We are now offering virtual appointments which allow you to connect to a member of our virtual sales team, who will be able to walk you around our Showroom and show you our products from the comfort of your home. If you would like to book a virtual appointment please click here
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to create challenges that are affecting some of our delivery timescales. Globally, the situation is impacting ports and shipping lanes, which are working their way through backlogs and delays, as well as an increased demand for their services. This then has a direct impact on the speed our furniture is delivered from our manufacturers overseas, to our distribution centres here in the UK.
To combat this, we have extended delivery times on products that we know are taking longer to arrive. This is why delivery time frames on some of our products may look longer than the normal fast delivery our customers expect from us.
Due to these issues, our Customer Service teams are receiving a higher number of queries than normal. We are currently in the process of recruiting more customer service colleagues to reduce our call and email response times, as we know it is taking longer than it should to get through to us.
We are doing everything we can to resume the normal levels of service we pride ourselves on. Thank you for your support, patience and understanding.
Latest Delivery Guidelines:
If you have a delivery scheduled, the good news is that the government guidelines allow us to continue to deliver as normal. All of our deliveries are completed contact free, and our drivers will wear face coverings when delivering into your home.
As of 15 June 2020, Oak Furnitureland is operating under new ownership. This is a positive development for the company and will mean that we are in a much stronger financial position post COVID-19.
All customer orders and deliveries will be fulfilled as normal. If you have any questions about your order or delivery, you can call our hotline or log into your account on the website.
