Within each collection, we have more than 25 pieces of furniture that will complement each other across different rooms of your home. From the smallest lamp table to the largest dining table, we apply the same standards of design and finish. You'll find real hardwood backs and bases with drawers featuring dovetail joints for strength.
2014 saw us launch the SofaStore.com website as well as integrating the brand into our stores. Selling 100% real leather and hard-wearing yet comfortable fabrics, we have a massive choice of sofas, armchairs and footstools for you to choose from.
Who are we?
With a head office in Wiltshire & 78 stores throughout the UK, we currently employ more than 1,200 dedicated staff to handle every aspect of our business, from design to after sales care. All stock is processed within our 500,000 sq ft Distribution Centre and delivered to our customers, using our own Home Delivery Team. With over twenty years’ experience in the UK furniture industry, we are specialists in our field and currently process approximately 400,000 orders a year.
We do not act as a wholesaler; we simply sell large volumes of high-quality oak and mango furniture at massively reduced prices – direct to the public and commercial hospitality customers. This ethos has led to tremendous growth year upon year, which has been recognised for five years by our inclusion in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100, a prestigious league table of the fastest growing companies in the UK.
Our hardwood furniture and sofas have recently been featured in high-profile interiors magazines, such as House Beautiful, Good Homes and Home Style, and in 2016 we won a coveted Loved by Parents Award for our nursery range.
In November 2016 we were shortlisted in the Speciality Retailer category at the prestigious Retail Week Awards, in celebration of our retail excellence.
How do we do it?
We specialise in selling fantastic quality hardwood furniture at unbeatable prices. But how do we do it? In a nutshell: we cut out the expensive middlemen and always keep costs to a minimum. Instead of buying from expensive wholesalers, who take a lump of profit, we design all our products ourselves and manufacture via exclusive contracts with overseas suppliers. We are proud to offer over 20 ranges of hardwood furniture with items suitable for every room in the house. Our business philosophy is to control as much of the process as possible and therefore with the exception of pallet deliveries and parcel couriers (roughly 5% of our deliveries), we do not subcontract to expensive third party services. The vast majority of deliveries are made by our Home Delivery Team, who care as much about your satisfaction as we do. We minimise our storage requirements by moving our products from manufacture to our customers’ homes with as few steps in between as possible. Rather than being a storage facility, our Distribution Centre acts as a turnaround depot to receive products from our craftsmen and then dispatch directly to you; the result being significantly reduced lead times and much faster delivery than most other large furniture companies in the UK.
