Shipping InformationOakfurnitureland.co.uk delivers from our Wiltshire and Gloucestershire distribution depots to mainland GB addresses only. For delivery to Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish Islands and Channel Islands we will deliver free to a nominated mainland GB address e.g. a port. Onward shipping from that point is the responsibility of the customer. Delivery is free of charge on all items. Our carriers cannot offer any timed or Saturday drops. All orders will be despatched within the times quoted on the order or before dependant on our stock availability. If the item is not available for despatch within the quoted dates we will contact you as soon as possible after the sale. Please note that where possible we will always endeavour to despatch multiple item orders at the same time. Therefore if multiple items are ordered and quote different delivery lead times you must always assume the longest quoted date for delivery for all items ordered. We use 2 methods of carriage so please could we ask you to make note of the following before ordering. This will ensure a smooth order process: Method 1 Two Man carrier This service is used generally for Larger or Multiple items. We will email on despatch when the item has been released to carriers explaining delivery method. Once the item is received by the carrier, the carrier will telephone ahead to book the delivery, this is why we will always ask for your telephone numbers to be given on payment just in case this method is used. Please note the day offered for delivery will be in conjunction with the carrier's delivery schedule and route plans on a date that the carriers schedule will place them in your postcode area. Example:- Our carriers scheduled route may dictate that they deliver to the BB postcode on Tuesdays or Thursdays. This will be the same route every week, therefore you would need to make arrangements to be available on the days that the carriers are in your area.(our carriers will call you to discuss this before delivery) If you are not available on the first date suggested our carriers would gladly offer the delivery for the following week etc etc. Please accept our apologies in advance if the carriers route is not the most suitable day for you, however the days that the carriers offer for delivery will be in line with the predesigned schedules. In certain remote areas of the UK our carrier may only operate a single day per week for that area. Please take this into account before purchasing our furniture as once the items are despatched from our warehouses the costs involved with return will be with the customer. These items will be delivered by 2 man delivery and delivered to a room of your choice, the carriers will not unwrap or assemble any items. The items will generally be delivered via a 7.5 tonne vehicle so please be sure your property is accessible for this size of truck. Method 2 Parcel carrier This service is used generally for single and smaller items under 30kg, however on occasions individual larger items will be sent via this method. We will email on despatch when the item has been released to carriers explaining delivery method and providing full tracking details. The item will be with you within 48 hours of despatch. Please note our parcel carrier will not telephone ahead to book the delivery, however if you are not in they will leave a card with a contact telephone number for you to agree a convenient date. This card must be responded to within 48 hours to avoid the item being returned to us hence creating an aborted delivery charge. Our carriers cannot offer any timed or Saturday drops and this will be a one man door to door service, assistance will be required with lifting the item from the vehicle. Our carriers cannot offer any timed or Saturday drops. If the carriers arranges a timed delivery then please be aware we have advised to decline and this is not part of our agreed terms, we cannot accept liability for any losses or inconvenience caused for delivery failures to unforeseen circumstances.
