Do you love the idea of styling your home for Easter but aren\u2019t sure where to start? To give you a helping hand, we teamed up with brand photographer and content creator, Stacey Sutcliffe of @that.makes.six<\/a> who created a beautiful seasonal look that you can recreate on your own dining table.<\/p>\n

Read on to discover simple touches that you can weave into your Easter decor or just enjoy picking up expert styling inspiration that you\u2019ll definitely want to add to your home.<\/p>\n

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?<\/h2>\n

I’m a mum of six (yes really!) and full-time brand photographer and content creator. As a family we love crafting and baking, that’s a lot of what’s on our social media. We love either being outside or snuggled up with home-baked goods watching a great film.<\/p>\n

How did you get into brand photography and product styling?<\/h2>\n

\"Spring<\/p>\n

It kind of happened naturally as my own Instagram grew, which came from when I had my fourth daughter. I was taking more family photos and being asked to take more photos for brands, so I upgraded my cameras and equipment and the rest, as they say, is history!<\/p>\n

How would you describe your interior style?<\/h2>\n

Maybe, country minimal. I adore our panelled walls, oak worktops and my Belfast sink. But, I like keeping things a bit minimal because we’re such a big family and the children leave things everywhere! I love classic soft colours and having linen and jute everything, everywhere.<\/p>\n

What are your go-to looks for Easter decor?<\/h2>\n

\"Easter<\/p>\n

I’m really into covering tables in flowers \u2013 save those jam jars and stick some blooms from your garden in. Seasonal flowers like tulips and daffodils just look beautiful at all different heights. I’m a sucker for crackers any time of year and made these from fabric offcuts. I also like linens in different colours and prints, mixing neutrals and pastels for a nice spring pop.<\/p>\n

Can you talk us through the Easter look you created for us?<\/h2>\n

\"Oak<\/p>\n

I started with my favourite tablecloth from Ooh Noo, we have their linens throughout the whole house and they’re stunning. Our cutlery has a hint of vintage but not too fussy. I tried to add some pops of colour with beautiful spring gingham and ric rac napkins \u2013 I love these as you could use them as placemats or even for crackers!<\/p>\n

I put as many little vases and jam jars of flowers as I could because it adds colour and dimension to the table. The centrepiece, a beautiful trough from Greystar Interiors, is filled with snowdrops we have been growing, it’s such a wonderful talking point too. I added small plates filled with little chocolate eggs to keep the children busy while we finish the cooking and serving, and added homemade crackers for favours.<\/p>\n

One of the reasons I chose this table and chairs was because I love dressing chairs, these simple place names look so cute with custom names. We used little homemade wreaths at Christmas and it’s such a special touch.<\/p>\n

Why do you like decorating for different seasons?<\/h2>\n

\"Oak<\/p>\n

I think it brings us some year round magic, doesn’t it? Especially after the last few years I’m happy to style and celebrate anything.<\/p>\n

Where do you find inspiration for home styling?<\/h2>\n

Mainly on Instagram, whether it’s from the places I shop and their grids, like Oak Furnitureland<\/a>, Grey Star Interiors, Jord Home or from some of my favourite interior Instagrams, including Steph Gowla and Pip & Ink. Brands like The White Company, Straw London and Labour and Wait also have my heart.<\/p>\n

What are your favourite Oak Furnitureland pieces and how would you style them?<\/h2>\n

\"Oak<\/p>\n

My table and chairs are top my list, finding a beautiful table that can sit us all comfortably is no easy feat. But, it\u2019s extendable so we can have it smaller when we just have friends for dinner.<\/p>\n

I don’t think people realise the lovely accessories, such as lamps<\/a>, on offer at Oak Furnitureland that make beautiful additions to their pieces, especially the Mira lamp<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What are your top tips for styling your home on a budget?<\/h2>\n

\"Oak<\/p>\n

Invest in pieces that will last through trends and withstand washing if you have children. We went through so many tablecloths, cushions etc when buying cheap so investing in better quality materials, like linen, means they just get better with age and washing. And buying more neutral colours, such as beige and cream, will never go out of style.<\/p>\n

How can you add style and personality to your space?<\/h2>\n

I find beautiful frames with your own styled artwork, cute and funky lampshades and soft furnishings can really make a space your own. Or, if you have a bigger budget, great blinds and curtains can really change a whole room.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your advice for creating a beautiful space if you have children?<\/h2>\n

Start with furniture. It doesn’t matter how great the accessories are if you hate the main pieces. Pick paint colours or woods that will match and flow, then plan from there. Our girls\u2019 room is very pink<\/a>, but you wouldn’t think it was to look in as the wallpaper is so subtle in print, the woods are such a pale pink they almost look white and the rest is soft neutrals and pink accessories. Teddies and toys can be decorated too so the things they love most can be on display… and wall units. We love wall units.<\/p>\n

Do you have any tips for taking great content on Instagram?<\/h2>\n

\"Easter<\/p>\n

Find your style and discover what you love taking photos of. If you don’t enjoy it, it shows, so if you love home and interiors, food and baking, or capturing your family, start there. Use the best camera or phone you can afford and be patient with yourself. And always have a prop box on hand, some flowers or faux blooms, a pretty notebook or diary, or a nice pen, can really make a shot.<\/p>\n
