There’s a reason that Scandinavian-inspired interiors have been so popular in home design for so many years now. Light and airy, these homes seem to effortlessly capture a relaxed and easy feeling – and who doesn’t want to come home and escape the worries of the day?
Our favourite kind of Scandi-inspired homes, though, are those that add a personal touch to the simple style, adding colour and homey twists on the pared back schemes we’ve come to love.
Taking inspiration from this, we created our new Romsey range to try and bring Scandinavian simplicity and modern family living together.
Some of our favourite light and airy rooms pair pale wood grains with white walls and neutral accessories, bringing a peaceful feeling into any room. So we designed Romsey in natural oak. Our simple treatment of the timbers, a clear protective wax to nourish the wood – means the bright tones of the oak can shine through – the perfect complement to pared-back room designs. Plus, they make a perfect base for adding your own personal accessories to add a pop of colour or personality into otherwise simple spaces.
Romsey also has a distinctly modern shape, helping it fit into the contemporary nordic schemes. Each piece has gently rounded corners, which soften the look of the range. Drawers and headboards are flat fronted to give it clean lines, making it the perfect backdrop for many home design schemes. We’ve also designed it with carved handles for an even simpler silhouette.
The pale grains of Romsey mean that it works as well as the all-white rooms which stole our hearts when Scandi-style first emerged in the design world, as it does in more current Scandi schemes, peppered with colours in the accessories and artwork of your home. The softness of the range means that it will seamlessly fit into your family life, while elevate the look of any room.
