The first week of the Ideal Home Show has been fantastic! In case you missed it, we’re there with Good Homes magazine as partners for their stunning roomsets. Be sure to stop by and see it for yourself too, the show is on until April 9th.
One of our favourite things about the show, however, is all the inspiration we gathered from the different stands and vendors who were also there. We couldn’t believe how many exciting and unique pieces were there that would look absolutely amazing when styled with our hardwood furniture and sofas!
We asked some of our staff to snap their favourite pieces from around the show, and let us know what caught their eye. We’ve definitely been bitten by the interior design bug now!
Quirky serving bowls from Culinary Concepts
When we spotted these quirky metal serving bowls and barware at Culinary Concepts, we couldn’t help but smile. Perfect for a dose of eclectic charm in a dining room or living room, we pictured them perfectly complementing one of our Rustic Oak sideboards. With the Spring weather teasing us with a bit of sunshine this week, the thought of a cool drink around our French Farmhouse dining table with friends seems perfect, and what better way to kick off a gathering than to grab a cold one from an octopus! We loved the air of youthful fun these pieces could lend our furniture.
Colours galore from the Ealing Rug Gallery
We know that beautiful hardwood furniture forms the bones of a room, but the soft furnishings can really help to bring it to life. The rugs on show from the Ealing Rug Gallery were a brilliant pop of colour, and the warm tones seemed a perfect complement to our Natural Oak ranges. The idea of mixing these bright colours and patterns with the clean lines of our Alto range of bedroom furniture really tickled our fancy. In the living room, they would make a bold statement when paired with our Gainsborough sofa in beige.
Wild for the Wildash London footstools
We love our storage footstools, which are designed to perfectly complement our range of super cosy sofas, but we definitely think we could make some space in our living room for these adorable sheepy footstools from Wildash. A collaboration between the London company and Dorset wood carver Liz Mangles, they offer cheeky charm, complete with sterling silver individual ear tags. The best part is that their shearling coats can be ordered in a wide range of colours – so you can match it to your own Oak Furniture Land sofa!
With so much to see at the show – from living walls to oversize lamps to crazy patterns and more, we had a tough time picking our favourites. What do you love from the Ideal Home Show? If you’re heading down before it closes, make sure to let us know what you like us best
