I must admit I did think I might be getting a little tired of the geometric home accessory by now, but actually I continue to be inspired by this contemporary look for our homes. I think designers are coming up with fresh and exciting ways to incorporate this look into our homes, and with this in mind, I’ve searched around to find you some of my favourite pieces at the moment. I’ve tried to take a cross section of items, that suit many or different rooms in the home, and hoped to find something a little bit unusual that you may not have seen before, from shops you many not have heard of. I do hope you enjoy my selection and do let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any of them.
Geometric Cotton Pots:
I’ve seen these Waves Cotton pots time and time again on the internet and love their versatility. In the image above you see them used as plant holders, but as they are lined, you could easily use them for other uses around the home. Try them as bread holders at the dinner table or maybe on the dressing table for make up brushes. Priced at £11.99 from In-Spaces.
Of course I had to include everyone’s favourite – the geometric rug. This one, in soft grey is the Astrid Rug from Living It Up priced at £249 and would co-ordinate with pretty much any home colour scheme.
Ferm Living Silk cushions are designed by Trine Andersen from Denmark drawing inspiration from modern graphics. Adding a pop of colour to your sofa, chair or bed, these are ideal for brightening a monochrome scheme. Available from Cloudberry Living £55
These beautiful throws are from Decorators Notebook designed by House of Rym. In a very on trend colour combination of grey, coral and black they are just perfect for using on the sofa, your bed or even taking out on a picnic. There’s something delicate about this design that lends itself to a fit with many different decor styles, not just the geometric, contemporary look.
Geometric Copper Pendant:
With a big nod towards the Scandi style, this cute little copper pendant is a wonderful example of how to incorporate the geometric trend into any room in your home. Simple, elegant and easy to install, this one’s a winner in my book. £69.95 at Made with Love Designs.
Geometric Ceiling Tiles:
I keep coming across these amazing ceiling tiles when I scour the internet for inspiration, and couldn’t resist including them in today’s round-up post. Sold from Lime Lace, this one features Rhombus ceiling tiles made by Fundamental Berlin. They’re the modern day ceiling rose, they are made from 72 polystyrene tiles that you then paint to match your decor, or simply leave white. Genius idea. Priced from £240.
So, I do hope you like the round-up. They’re just a few of my favourite spots from recent times, but maybe you have others? Do let me know below in the comments.
