How to Dress Your Sofa

Perhaps you’re considering giving your living room a whole new look. With our range of sofas, it couldn’t be easier to choose one you love. But once you have your sofa in place, what look will you be going for in the rest of the space?

Sofas are beautifully versatile pieces and depending upon the accessories you use with them, you can bring out their fabulous versatility to suit your personal style.  Today, I wanted to show you how 3 of our sofas could potentially look in your home dressed beautifully to create an inviting living room.

I’ve called the first look “Warm Tropics“.  Our Bailey sofa dressed in our expertly woven Evora Grey fabric is high quality and comfortable seating at a fantastic price. The gray acts as a neutral but is warmed up with the sunny yellow Stockholm rug from Ikea and that Moroccan style print is echoed again in two cushions from Culow –  the Niki Jones Lattice Cushion with a the fun grey pom pom trim ties the greys and yellows together while the Aubrey Cushion from Surfacephilia provides a playful organic print to soften the scheme.

Warm Tropics

The Ananas Pineapple Lamp from House of Hackney paired with an inexpensive Natural Hessian Weave Shade from B&Q finishes our look and transports us to sunnier climates! And who doesn’t like a bit of sunshine in their home?

Our second look is called “Industrial Chic“. Our clean-cut Kirby sofa is not only hard-wearing and perfect for sinking into, it’s also rather stylish so it sits perfectly in a contemporary living room with a masculine edge. Balance the masculinity with a studded velvet cushion and woven wool rug from West Elm which softens the space.

Industrial Chic

To add even more texture, the luxurious but inexpensive faux fur cushion from H&M – the colour is decidedly masculine but the softness gives a delightfully feminine balance. To really finish off the Industrial edge, a quirky industrial brass pendant from Alexander and Pearl provides a real talking point in the room.

And finally, our third look – “Modern Romance“. Our stunning Elliot sofa in Mulberry is not only exceptional in build quality, it’s colour provides a rather beautiful backdrop to our soft and flirty final look.  Pairing with a damask floral rug in soft grey from Zara, the sofa and rug could easily work with other traditional accessories but with the addition of a white and brass floor lamp from Ikea, we have a decidedly modern finish.

Modern Romance

Well, no modern romance could be complete with out some florals but as we’re going for a more contemporary look, chintz is out and a watercolour cushion from Zara Home is in. The florals marry (pun intended!) our deep plum and soft grey and provide a stunning contrast to the silver pleated cushion, which adds further shine and texture to the space.

Of course, our three wonderful sofas could fit into any number of different styles, just by changing the accessories around them but I hope you can see how well they work no matter what look you love.

So of our three different styles – Wam Tropics, Industrial Chic and Modern Romance – which is your favourite?
