We are currently looking for a Carpenter/Joiner whose role is to repair and return to sale furniture items that are deemed to have improved value after being worked on in the site workshop. Additionally the position allows close liaison and communication with Far East buying management and Quality Control departments to ensure a consistent quality offer.
The role supports the sales team in order for them to have bespoke spare items made up to complete any partial products such as new tops/shelves and handles.
Various site projects (creating and making) are in the job specification. The job role moving forward will also comprise of a significant element of stock grading by A, B, C to ensure that the business can maximise all surplus stock/clearance revenue.

Responsibilities

• Joinery repair service to a professional specification
• Construct, fix, mend solid wood furniture
• Dialogue with centre manager and department heads
• Stock grading
• Quality control reports covering wood quality/structure defects, areas of improvement
• To undertake relevant site construction projects
• To maintain a clean and high standard workshop and tool centre
• To support general Clearance team and management where appropriate

Experience

• Joinery qualification to agreed standard
• Good eye for detail
• Good communicator and team player

Working hours are 40 a week, 5 days in 7 which may occasionally include Bank Holidays and weekends if business demands.

Ensure that new product ranges are effectively merchandised across the region of showrooms whilst maintaining high standards at all times
Regular duties will include heavy lifting, painting,and general decorating across the region of showrooms as required

Essential experience required

You must be competent in general DIY for example be able to use an electric drill, power saw, electric screwdriver etc
Basic computer skills are required ie: use of email, word, excel

A member of a team of 8 comprising of sales staff, warehouse operatives and delivery drivers, this role will assist the operation of a 10,000 sq. ft. store in a competitive high street environment as a 7 day a week furniture clearance centre. The site operates as a self-contained unit, with delivery van and equipment to take in stock drops via articulated lorries. This is a fast moving role that requires a good level of personal fitness and reasonable strength. All sales transaction are carried out on the Clearance centre IT package which covers sales invoicing, delivery scheduling and cash/electronic payment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for advising our customer, selling product at the indicated guide price, and arranging delivery via home service or cash and carry

Moving, loading, off-loading and assembling solid wood furniture

Responsibilities

• Daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reporting for the SEM team
• Implement appropriate weekly optimizations to PPC search campaigns, assisting in the development of the ongoing accounts eg researching keywords, writing and testing ad copy; optimizing landing pages
• Assist in writing SEO recommendations, including technical SEO recommendations, template and keyword specific on-page SEO recommendations
• Daily monitoring of various analysis tools, investigating and highlighting any issues to the SEM team
• Assisting in the implementation/maintenance of new/current products and ranges to site from an SEM perspective
• Generate new unique content for use on or off site
• Carry out testing using correct procedures and processes

Responsibilities

To handle all inbound phone-calls, effectively, efficiently, and professionally at all times, keeping in line with our ‘customer first’ ethos.
Finalising and waterproofing customer orders by confirming the delivery service that will be used and/or confirming the terms of our bespoke services.
Managing our customer order book; you will be expected to keep customers updated on the status of their order, if this changes you are required to advise the customer at the first available opportunity, in order to manager their expectations.
Manage all orders taken through 3rd Party affiliates websites, and all required administration to finalise and complete the order process.
You will be the first response team when/if a ‘problem’ occurs with an order, eg, failed deliveries, incomplete orders, incorrect details, 3rd party delays etc.
Managing all customer communication through appropriate channels, and ensuring all customers are responded to within the department SLA’s.
Supporting our retail outlets, through effective communication and order management.
Assisting in arranging the delivery of small items through our 3rd Party parcel carrier.
Following up on orders as required, either by liaising with customers, other departments, colleagues and appropriate 3rd Parties.
The sales support department is responsible for completing any refunds required. A good eye for detail will be essential to ensure that this task is completed efficiently, and correctly.

Experience

Previous customer service experience.
Strong language skills, both written and spoken.
Well versed in effective communication.
Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office.
We use our own bespoke system, you will receive appropriate training in all of the systems required for you to be able to fulfil your role.
It is desirable that you’re confident in your own IT abilities and have used PC’s and IT systems in previous roles.
