This will include overseeing the logistics of organising and receiving in clearance product to your store, correctly processing it and displaying it in line with company criteria, through to ensuring fulfilment of the customer’s order direct from your store. Stock control and collation of reports for senior management is imperative. You will use your wealth of experience to help drive sales within the store and motivate your team to achieve pre-defined targets and meet KPI’s.

Responsibilities
To effectively manage the store team
Effectively convert clearance stock into maximised profit, manage waste wood, cardboard, plastics, polystyrene and convert to cash to negate any site costs
Market the OFC brand to compliment and not compete with the core OFL brand
To manage site personnel, equipment, security and stock
To manage within budget stock taking, payroll and agency labour

All stock is processed within our 500,000 sq. ft. Distribution Centre and delivered to our customers, free of charge, using our own delivery fleet. With over twenty years' experience in the UK furniture industry, we are specialists in our field and have grown to delivering more than 2000 orders a day. We do not act as a wholesaler; we simply sell large volumes of high quality oak, mango and mahogany furniture at massively reduced prices - direct to the public and commercial hospitality customers. The company has featured in the Sunday Times Fast Track list of rapidly growing businesses in 4 of the last 5 years and offers a dynamic and exciting environment to work in.

This new role will involve working as part of the Visual Merchandising Team where you will be required to move ranges of furniture in the showrooms and help merchandise room sets to ensure a continuous high standard is met. Candidate must be energetic, be able to work to tight deadlines, and be self-motivated and practical.

General responsibilities include:

Accurate delivery and merchandising of products into the showrooms within your region of between 14-16 showrooms
Supporting plans for showroom openings or refits within your region for example merchandising at all new showroom openings across your region and sometimes nationwide
Ensure that new product ranges are effectively merchandised across the region of showrooms whilst maintaining high standards at all times
Regular duties will include heavy lifting, painting,and general decorating across the region of showrooms as required

Essential experience required

You must be competent in general DIY for example be able to use an electric drill, power saw, electric screwdriver etc
Basic computer skills are required ie: use of email, word, excel
You must be self motivated and be able to manage your time effectively to meet with the business’s needs
Full clean driving license required as travel is required between showrooms

In return for meeting these targets we offer an extremely competitive basic salary of £18k to £22k basic OTE £38k; the commission structure is uncapped where our top performers earn in excess of £50k. The hours of work are 40 per week 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis including weekends and bank holidays. There will be no cold calling with the focus on inbound and outbound calls.

The successful candidate will work as part of team of sales executives in our inbound call centre (no cold calling) responsible for all sales enquiries, converting sales, and actively offering appropriate upsells. The h ours of work are 40 per week 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis including weekends and bank holidays.

    We are looking for people with the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a customer service industry

  • Previous experience in administration (preferably office based)

  • Excellent telephone manner

  • Basic IT skills

  • The ability to offer appropriate resolutions to customer problems

  • Must prepared to take complete ownership of the order process and make themselves accountable

  • The ability to multi task and prioritise workload
